Qroko · Last updated July 30, 2026

Qroko collects no data. It stores, transmits, and shares no personal information whatsoever. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

Qroko is a free, ad-free app to create, scan, and organize QR codes and barcodes. Everything it does happens on your device.

In short

  • No data leaves your iPhone — the app makes no network requests to us.
  • No analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
  • No user accounts, no sign-in, no identifiers.

Camera

The camera is used only live, on your device, to scan QR codes and barcodes. Nothing is photographed, recorded, or sent anywhere. The scan result is only saved to your library if you choose to save it.

Photos

When you decode a code from an existing image, Qroko reads only the photo you explicitly pick, on your device, to detect the code inside it. The photo is not copied, uploaded, or retained.

Location

If you use the Location tool to create a QR code for a place, your location is used only on your device — to center the map and to build the map link that gets encoded into the QR code you create. Your position is never stored by us or transmitted anywhere. Granting location access is optional; you can instead move the map or search an address.

Your codes

The QR codes and barcodes you create or scan are stored locally on your device only. They are never uploaded. Deleting a code, or deleting the app, removes that data from your device.

Apple Wallet

When you add a code to Apple Wallet, the pass is generated and signed entirely on your device and handed to the system Wallet app. No pass data is sent to us.

Children

Qroko does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
